Live · 40+ regulatory frameworks tracked

Stay ahead of regulation. Product compliance at start-up speed.

European regulation is fragmented and constantly evolving. Sweepline scans your product and codebase, checks against our database of 40+ EU and local regulatory frameworks (GDPR, DSA, DMA, …) and sets up a market readiness board so your teams know exactly what changes to make.

01 · The problem

27 markets, constantly moving. You can't track what you don't know exists.

Keeping track of changing regulations across 27 markets is difficult. Non-compliance results in lost deals and hefty fines. Redeveloping existing features is expensive.

Some local requirements:

Your product and legal teams can't research what they don't know exists.

DE

Mandatory Impressum page on all German websites

PL

Illegal to display promotions without a 30-day average price

FR

E-invoicing required from September 2026

EU

Mandatory disclaimers for subscriptions and user data usage across most markets

DE

Cancel button required by law on every subscription page

EU

14-day withdrawal period on most consumer purchases

02 · The solution

Here's what Sweepline actually does.

We check your product and your codebase against EU regulations and business practices for each market you want to launch in. You get a list of everything that needs to change, sorted by how critical it is, with effort estimates and links to the actual regulation. With a real-time assessment score to see how you're progressing.

01

Market Readiness Audit

Connect your repo. Tell us your target markets. Answer some questions about your local business model and rules. Within 48 hours, you get a full compliance readiness report that highlights fit-gaps by severity and effort.

03 · Who it's for

Built for the teams that actually do the work.

Engineering Leaders

01 / 05

Compliance shouldn't be a quarterly meeting you have with Legal, it should be a continuous development practice. We don't draft meaty legal memos — we add a PR comment while you're writing code. Think of it as an ESLint for compliance.

  • Code-level audit findings linked to your repo
  • PR-level compliance checks in your CI pipeline
  • GitHub / GitLab → Jira integration
  • i18n hygiene: hardcoded strings, locale handling, text expansion
  • Effort estimates on every finding

Product Leaders

02 / 05

Don't rely on a checkbox in the Definition of Ready to ensure legal compliance. We check proposed features automatically in the background by integrating with Jira or Linear, so we can flag potential issues early.

  • Readiness dashboard per market
  • Compliance requirements as Jira tickets
  • 12-month upcoming regulation timeline
  • Cross-market view: fix once, launch in five countries
  • Executive reporting your board understands

Founders & CEOs

03 / 05

Expanding into new markets can unlock tremendous growth but comes with risk of delays or rollbacks. Follow market readiness in real time with our readiness score, communicate clearly to your board, and only pull the lever when all fixes are in.

  • Clear go/no-go readiness scores per market
  • Risk classification: mandatory vs. best practice
  • Cost & effort visibility before you commit timelines
  • Investor-ready compliance reporting

Legal & Compliance

04 / 05

We bridge the gap between what your legal team knows and what the engineers know. We surface potential risks that start in code, so you can analyse and address them.

  • Regulatory reference for every finding (directive + article)
  • Flag-for-legal-review workflow
  • Full audit trail: who, what, when
  • Upcoming regulation tracker

Sales & BD

05 / 05

When a prospect asks 'are you compliant in our market?' you need an answer that signals confidence. Our readiness dashboard and compliance report are easily shareable and tell customers exactly how you comply.

  • Market-specific status you can reference in calls
  • Shareable readiness reports for prospects
  • Faster compliance questionnaire responses
  • Competitive edge: 'we're compliant in your market'

A full compliance audit for your target markets. Each finding is classified by severity, linked to your code, and mapped to the specific regulation.

  4. 04ongoing

    Work from a live board

The audit turns into a board your team works from. Assign findings, track progress per market, and get notified when new regulations affect you.

05 · From audit to action

Not a PDF in someone's inbox. A board your team works from.

A PDF that sits in someone's inbox doesn't get anything fixed. So instead of a report, you get a board. Every finding is a card with a severity level, a market tag, and an effort estimate. Assign it to someone, move it to "in progress," and your readiness score updates automatically. It syncs with Jira, Linear, and GitHub Issues if your team already works there.

  • Each audit finding → one actionable card
  • Severity, market, and effort estimate baked in
  • Assign to engineering, design, legal, or PM
  • Drag between To do / In progress / Done
  • Two-way sync with Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues
  • Closing a card lifts your live readiness score

06 · What we don't do

What we don't do.

We don't translate your product.

There are good tools for translation already (Phrase, Lokalise, Crowdin). What we check is whether your codebase is ready for them: externalized strings, no hardcoded text, enough UI space for languages like Finnish where words are twice as long.

We don't replace your legal team.

We tell your engineering team what needs to change and why, and surface potential issues that need investigating. For formal legal opinions or complex interpretations, you'll still need a lawyer.

We don't guarantee full compliance.

No tool can. We catch the things your team wouldn't know to look for and reduce your risk significantly. We're confident in our solution, but compliance is complex and ultimately your responsibility.

We don't support every tech stack yet.

We work best with modern stacks (React, Next.js, Vue, Node, Python). If you're on a legacy stack we may still be able to audit your product and processes, but the code-level scanning won't be as thorough. Contact us if you're not sure.

We don't do one-off consulting.

The audit is a product with a fixed scope and price. If you need custom regulatory advisory, we can point you to partners who can help you interpret results.

07 · Why us

Built by people who've done this the hard way.

Our team has scaled platforms across 15+ European markets generating $1B+ in annual EU revenue. We've lived through the launch delays: a missing Impressum page that blocked a German launch at legal review, checkout flows that tanked conversion because they didn't offer iDEAL in the Netherlands, subscription cancel buttons that had to be retrofitted into every billing screen to comply with German law, and e-invoicing mandates in Italy that required a full billing rewrite two weeks before go-live.

We built Sweepline because we were the people who needed it, and it didn't exist.

"We kept hitting the same problems in every new market. The information existed, but it was buried in legal documents nobody on the engineering team was able to interpret or read."

09 · FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

Is this just another GDPR tool?+

No. GDPR is one of about 40 regulatory frameworks we cover. Consumer protection, payment regulations, accessibility, e-invoicing, AI regulation, platform rules, and country-specific requirements are all in scope.

How is this different from hiring a local law firm?+

A law firm tells you what the law says. We tell you what your code needs to do. We bridge legal requirements and engineering execution, continuously, at a fraction of the cost.

Do I need to give you access to my codebase?+

For the full code-level audit, yes, read-only access. We scan for patterns and never modify your code. A product-level audit without repo access is also available, but less deep.

What if we're pre-launch?+

That's actually the best time to use it. If you're still making architectural decisions, we can catch things before they're baked into your system. Fixing something in design costs a fraction of fixing it after launch.

How current is your regulatory database?+

Updated daily. We track regulation that's enacted, announced, in draft, and under discussion, months before deadlines.

Do you cover Brexit / UK-specific requirements?+

Yes. The UK has diverged in several areas. We cover the UK as a standalone market with its own rule set.

Can I use this to show prospects we're compliant?+

Yes. Dashboards and audit reports are designed to be shareable. Many customers use their status in sales conversations and procurement responses.

What happens if we miss something and get fined?+

We don't guarantee full compliance, and no tool realistically can. We catch a lot, but we're an intelligence tool, not an insurance policy. Our terms are clear about this.
